I'm not too big on these journals, but thought I'd give the internet a quick update on what's going on with me as an artist.

After one year of CCS, it really became clear to me that I need to choose a focus. Whether it's entertainment design, automotive exteriors, or underwater basket weaving, I really need to figure out what it is I want to do and try to become the best I can be at that particular thing. This is not so much a question of what am I better at right now. I'm really trying not to think about what's more "viable", but instead decide what would make me happier. It's a tough choice, but right now I'm starting to lean towards cars after all, which is probably evident from my recent submissions. So that's that, at least for now.

As for the rest of the summer, I can't decide if I want to start pumping out quick design sketches or maybe take a week and really push one rendering to nice details... I suppose at the end of the day I really need to be good at both, so we'll see. Oh and then there's still some sci-fi that I want to paint too, can't just get away from it altogether... Well, now that World Cup is over, I hope to spend more time on all this stuff. At least until SC2 comes out...
